Curl Club membership terms

What the Curl Club is
The Curl Club is our free membership. When you reserve or buy a brush you are given a member number — a real, permanent number in the order you joined. Member #1 is member #1 forever.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no fee, no subscription and no minimum spend. We will never charge you for membership, and if that ever changed we would ask, not assume.
What you get
- Your member number, and the date you joined.
- Your order history and saved addresses.
- First look at new girls joining the club before they go on general sale.
- Priority in the first production run, in reservation order — earlier members ship earlier.
Benefits may change over time. We will not reduce a benefit we have specifically promised you for an order you have already placed.
Curls Club Credit
Sometimes we give you credit to spend on a future order — most often when you return a brush, occasionally as a goodwill gesture. It is held against the email address it was issued to.
- It is valid for twelve months from the day it is issued.
- It is issued in the currency you paid in, and can only be spent on an order charged in that same currency. We never convert it, because a conversion would hand you an exchange-rate change you did not agree to.
- It belongs to your address and cannot be transferred to somebody else.
- It is spent oldest first, so the credit closest to expiring goes first.
Credit is not a replacement for your legal rights. What you are entitled to when something is faulty or you change your mind is set out in our returns policy, and nothing here reduces it.
If you ask us to erase your data and you are still holding credit, we keep the record of that credit until you spend it or it expires — it is money we owe you, and deleting it would quietly take it away. Everything else is erased as our privacy notice describes.
Joining
You can buy without joining. If you would like an account, you can create one after checkout — we do not require an account to sell you a brush.
Membership is for individuals aged 18 or over. One account per person.
Closing your account
Email us and we will close it. Note that closing your account does not delete records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices for completed orders — UAE tax law requires those for five years. Everything not legally required is removed. See our privacy notice.
Behaving reasonably
We may suspend or close an account used for fraud, for reselling in breach of our acceptable use policy, or to abuse a promotion. We will tell you why.
Changes
We may update these terms and will tell members of anything significant by email.
